             abstract = "O monitoramento de florestas comerciais por sat{\'e}lites {\'e} 
                         importante para a gest{\~a}o conjunta do empreendimento e dos 
                         riscos ambientais associados. Nesse sentido, utilizou-se 
                         {\'{\i}}ndices de vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o para a 
                         identifica{\c{c}}{\~a}o e monitoramento das a{\c{c}}{\~o}es de 
                         manejo florestal no sul do Brasil (Estado de Santa Catarina). A 
                         {\'a}rea de estudo {\'e} representada por tr{\^e}s micro-bacias 
                         hidrogr{\'a}ficas: uma composta por floresta nativa e outras duas 
                         por pinus. Foram utilizados dados de campo e dos sat{\'e}lites 
                         Landsat 4-5 e 8, al{\'e}m de cenas RapidEye e PlanetScope. Com o 
                         uso de diferentes cenas, foram identificados os per{\'{\i}}odos 
                         de interven{\c{c}}{\~a}o baseado na diferen{\c{c}}a de NDVI e 
                         EVI entre os padr{\~o}es das s{\'e}ries temporais da floresta 
                         nativa e das cultivadas. Os resultados mostraram que as imagens 
                         permitem identificar e monitorar os eventos de corte raso e o 
                         primeiro desbaste. Contudo, o segundo e terceiro desbastes 
                         n{\~a}o foram identificados com {\'{\i}}ndices de 
                         vegeta{\c{c}}{\~a}o em fun{\c{c}}{\~a}o dos menores 
                         dist{\'u}rbios observados sobre o dossel pelos sat{\'e}lites. 
                         ABSTRACT: Satellite monitoring of commercial forest plantations is 
                         important for joint management of the production and environmental 
                         risks. Here, the objective was to use vegetation indices to 
                         identify and monitor forest management practices in Southern 
                         Brazil (state of Santa Catarina). The study area includes three 
                         small watersheds: one covered by native forest and two covered by 
                         pinus. We used field data and satellite images of Landsat 4-5 and 
                         8 in conjunction with RapidEye and PlanetScope data. Using 
                         multi-temporal images, the period of intervention was identified 
                         based on the NDVI and EVI time series differences between the 
                         native and planted forests. The results showed that the images 
                         allowed identification and monitoring of the clear cutting and 
                         first thinning. However, the second and third thinning were not 
                         identified using vegetation indices because of the small 
                         disturbance observed over the canopies by the satellites.",
